Sharelooms: Family History Services and Legacy Projects: Sharelooms was started with a mom-friend I met in San Diego, way back when our babies were born in 2006. Heather (the founder) had 2 boys, like me. I remember her telling me about her vision. Since then, her vision has come to life and become a thriving business.Sharelooms is dedicated to helping families share their stories for future generations through family history and legacy projects. We take a family’s photos, videos and stories and transform them into Sharelooms. More info at Sharelooms.com.

Logo for Project Repat, blue script with an orange accent,

Project Repat:  Project Repat is a company i came across when I was trying to figure out what, if anything, I could do with all of those sentimental t-shirts my kids have accumulated over the year. This company takes those t-shirts and other clothing items, and turns them into a quilt. I love this idea and have no skills to make my own. I have not yet used this company but think it’s worth checking. T-Shirt Blanket Company | Custom T-Shirt Quilt Maker | Project Repat – Project Repat T Shirt Quilts.

ScanCafe logo: light blue

Scan Cafe:  I used Scan Cafe a few years ago to digitize the hundreds of photos I took on a 6 month trip to Southeast Asia in 1996-97. I no longer had the photos but did have the negatives. I sent them to Scan Cafe and received digital photos that I can share and print.  The photo quality is excellent and the customer service was spot on.  I can therefore recommend this service for digitization of photos.  ScanCafe - #1 Photo Scanning & Video Transfer Service | Digitize Your Memories

Logo for CreateMyCookbook, a blue and orange design with an open cookbook illustration.

Create My Cookbook:  This site allows you to create a family cookbook with photos and recipes.  It can be done with any photobook site, but that requires a lot of creativity and adapting templates.  This site makes it simple as it allows you to upload printed or handwritten recipes and it will import everything for you. You can also invite contributors to add to your book.  I have started a cookbook here and aim to have it done as a Christmas gift this year.  I’ll keep you posted!  https://createmycookbook.com/home_family_alt
